Goodbye...

Thank you!

Dear guests, dear friends,

When I started the ZAWAN project five years ago, quite a few people around me thought I was crazy - opening a restaurant in quiet Kreis 6, with no experience in the catering industry.

I may not be normal, but what does normal mean? That's how I've always been and that's how I'll stay: I have ideas and dreams and I try to realise them. I wanted to create something wonderful with my mum and I am proud of what we have achieved.

However, it was also clear from the start that the restaurant wouldn't last forever, as my mum was almost 60 years old when we started. She is now past retirement age, but still gets up every day to put her heart and soul into creating wonderful culinary experiences for our dear guests.

But now it's time for us to say goodbye on the 19th of December. My mum is going back to her roots, to the east of Thailand, to her family.

So the ZAWAN in its current form will soon be history. But it will live on in some form or another, I'll keep you posted😉

And don't worry, something nice is also being built in the restaurant on Rigiplatz.

I hope to be able to welcome you to ZAWAN as many times as possible, until the 19th of December.

Yours sincerely,
Siri & Mom & ZAWAN Team

Mark
